The logical choice when you come to Gatlinburg to stay should be a cabin or Chalet.  Why? you might ask. Privacy for the price is the biggest answer. Room for the family comes to mind also.  Now more than ever a families budget will decide where they stay.  Think about this, a hotel/motel will not offer you any privacy, a normal size bathroom,a hot tub, or a pool table.  Don’t even consider having a pleasant view. 

For a few dollars more you can enjoy all of these benefits. Cabins and Chalets offer you a full size home during your stay. You can actually talk to each other and enjoy your vacation into the night without fear of the front desk calling with a complaint. You can actually sleep in a bed in a private room. The kids or friends can sleep in their bed in their own private room. Would you come to Gatlinburg and stay in a hotel to completely getaway? Some people come to enjoy the mountains and each other. They could care less about the town. Your not going to totally escape in a hotel or motel.

Gatlinburg should be every families destination for Vacation.  If the Great Smoky Mountains were not enough, the city of Gatlinburg itself has plenty to offer.  All families on vacation have an unwritten rule: Eat as much as you can and ask for forgiveness when you get home.  To this vice I offer a number of grub holes.  Smoky Mountain Brewery,Calhouns,Cherokee Grill,The Best Italian,LaCarate,The Peddler, The Park Grill,and the world famous Pancake Pantry.  Need I say more about food choices.

As for entertainment, the first place you must visit is Ripleys Aquarium.  The aquarium has received #1 ratings from different polls in the nation as the best aquarium in America. Ripleys believe it or not is another treat the whole family should enjoy.  There are haunted houses, go carts, mini-golf, motion master theatre, the sky lift and the Tram to Ober Gatlinburg.

The real question is, how do you want to enjoy your visit to Tennessee? Looking up at the mountains or looking out from the mountain!
